AY Furnaces
Model
AY furnaces feature the Diamond Block Atmosphere for simplified
protection of tool steels during hardening and are designed for
exceptional temperature uniformity and performance. Rugged industrial
construction assures long life and low maintenance.
Features:
Furnace
can accommodate simplified and effective atmosphere control with
the Diamond Block atmosphere.
Work
chamber formed by a full high heat conducting muffle. The muffle
eliminates direct radiation from heating elements and dampens
temperature fluctuations to provide unified temperature in
the work area.
Heating
elements are located above and below the work chamber and are
spaced to control heat distribution.
Recessed
door construction eliminates cold throat condition and increases
the usable work area.
6
AY door, made of cast iron and refractories, is fully recessed
into the furnace. Hand actuated lever operates pneumatic lift
assembly. All AY doors can be elevated to any variable height
setting.
Furnaces
designed for fast heating. Heavily insulated for continuous
operation up to 2500 Degrees F. Plus low heat storage insulation...ideal
for intermittent use.

Model
AHS Heat Treating Furnaces
Sentry Model AHS Electric Furnaces
were designed for Industrial Heat Treating applications up to 2500°F,
feature heavy industrial construction and have the ability to handle
heavy loads.
Features:
Heavy steel furnace shell lined with high quality
insulation, special formed refractories and silicon carbide shapes
to give economy of operation, minimum maintenance and long life
Silicon carbide heating elements located above and
below the work chamber are spaced for best temperature uniformity;
Elements are arranged in 3 circuits for balanced connection to a 220
Volt, 3 Phase power supply without transformers
With new heating elements, each furnace will heat
to 2200°F in approximately 90 minutes
Door located inside furnace shell eliminates cold
throat and provides front insulation thickness nearly equal to side
walls. Grooves are provided to seal the door on four sides when closed
Supplied with two silicon carbide hearths which can
be arranged to form a semimuffle with a small loss in height; Advantage
is improved temperature uniformity with elimination of direct heating
element radiation on the work load
Standard equipment includes a pneumatic door lift
assembly with foot actuated pedal for operator convenience
Insulated for continuous operation at 2500°F;
Special models available for 2750°F or with longer chambers
Standard and special control systems are available
on request. Furnaces are normally supplied with all controls mounted
and wired and ready for connection to customer's supply.
