Model VT Tempering Furnaces

Model HT furnaces feature a recirculating air system for quick, even tempering and are designed for exceptional temperature uniformity and performance. Rugged industrial construction assures long life and low maintenance

Top loading tempering furnace designed with recirculating air system to provide for maximum thermal efficiency and temperature uniformity. Heat transfer is maintained with bottom mounted fan systems for circulating air through the heating elements to the removable work basket. All internal parts are easily removed and made of stainless steel or nickel chromium alloy to minimize maintenance.

The Sentry Model "VT" Tempering Furnaces produce high quality tempering at a minimum investment to fill the needs of the low volume user. These advantages are made possible by the following developments:

• Maximum thermal efficiency, temperature uniformity and operating convenience inherent in good vertical furnace design
• Controlled heat distribution by careful positioning of helically wound nickel-chromium heating elements
• Efficient heat transfer developed with bottom mounted, convection/fan system for circulating air through the heating elements to the work chamber baskets
• High degree of temperature uniformity with simple ON-OFF type controls made possible by engineering emphasis on thermocouple location, heat input and air circulation

The "VT" is designed for tempering, annealing, and heat processing on all types of tool, stainless and specialty steels. Operating characteristics make the "VT" adaptable to many industrial processes within the 200° to 1250° heat range.

Model MP Hardening Furnaces

Model HT furnaces feature a recirculating air system for quick, even tempering and are designed for exceptional temperature uniformity and performance. Rugged industrial construction assures long life and low maintenance.

The Model MP Multipurpose furnace is an economical option for general purpose heat treating applications. It has an optional stainless steel muffle for controlled atmosphere heat treating. If desired, it can be mounted on a model HT furnace for a dual design.

Features:

• 1 1/2" thick hearth handles heavy loads

• Recessed door for improved temperature uniformity.

• MP-2000 has Silicon Carbide heating elements for fast heating.

• Safety switch cuts furnace power when door is opened.

• Optional Stainless Steel Muffle provides for heat treating in a protective atmosphere.
  Features Include:
      - Direct stainless steel pipe access to muffle through rear of furnace.
      - Rear mounted system provides positive pressure of the muffle
         to the furnace door gasket, minimizing atmosphere loss.
      - Internal baffle system spreads atmosphere while purging.
         Removable supports elevate work.
      - Door mounted vent release valve allows quick effective purging of atmosphere.
         Also used to make temperature measurements.
